DAY 1 - ARRIVE SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA
Welcome to Siem Reap, On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel, the Park Hyatt Siem Reap. Meet your italktravel tour host and fellow travellers this evening for a welcome drink. Evening at your leisure. 

DAY 2 - SIEM REAP
Morning tour to the famous temples of Angkor dating back between the 9th and 13th centuries. Visit the incredible Angkor Wat, and nearby Bateay Srei. This evening, enjoy a private Apsara Dance Performance including dancers, singers, and musicians. (B,L,D)

DAY 3 - SIEM REAP
Today, continue your sightseeing of the Angkor temples by tuk-tuk. Start at Angkor Thom, where you will explore Bayon Temple with its famous carved faces followed by Ta Proh, which has been enveloped by the surrounding jungle. Visit Les Artisans D'Angkor, a local development project teaching young adults traditional handicraft techniques. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to explore this charming town. (B)

DAY 4 - SIEM REAP (EMBARKATION)
This morning, we will transfer to the port and board our river cruise vessel for our journey down the Mekong through Cambodia and Vietnam. This afternoon, enjoy time on board the ship as you cruise through Cambodia's great lake, Tonle Sap. This evening, enjoy a welcome reception on board. (B,L,D) 

DAY 5 - CRUISE: KAMPONG TRALACH - PHNOM PENH
Today we will learn more about local life in the beautiful Cambodian countryside. Enjoy an ox cart ride past rice paddy fields, meet a local farmer and visit the silversmith village of Konpong Louang. Continue cruising to the capital city of Phnom Penh for a sightseeing tour by private cyclo including the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda and the National Museum. (B,L,D)

DAY 6 - CRUISE: PHNOM PENH
This morning we will gain a deeper understanding of the atrocities inflicted on the Cambodian people by the Khmer Rouge regime with a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the infamous Killing Fields. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the city. Just before dinner, we will meet some children from a local orphanage. (B,L,D)

DAY 7 - CRUISE: WAT HANCHEY - ANGKOR BAN 
This morning, visit Wat Hanchey temple, located on a hilltop with stunning views of the surrounding area. After lunch, enjoy a walking tour through the rural village of Angkor Ban to see traditional Khmer houses and visit a local school. (B,L,D)

DAY 8 - CRUISE: LONG KHONG A - CHAU DOC
We will cross the border this morning into Vietnam. A traditional sampan boat will bring us to the village of Long Khong A to learn about the local cotton weaving traditions. After lunch, explore the backwaters of the river by Sampan to see traditional floating homes, speedboat merchants, markets, and more.  (B,L,D)


DAY 9 - CRUISE: CU LAO GIENG
This morning, enjoy time at leisure on board the ship as we sail to Cu Lao Gieng. In the afternoon, board a sampan and enjoy scenes of daily life along the river. Stop at a local home, where a skilled family hand-craft sampans. Then, ride a specially designed motor cart to one of Vietnam's oldest churches. (B,L,D)

DAY 10 - CRUISE: BEN TRE
This morning, cruise to Ben Tre to see how rice wine and traditional coconut candy is made. Continue on to a local garden where several types of local fruits are grown. This afternoon, enjoy time on board the ship as we sail to exciting Ho Chi Minh City. (B,L,D)

DAY 11 - HO CHI MINH CITY (DISEMBARKATION)
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, formerly Saigon. Enjoy a walking tour of the city's historic landmarks including Ho Chi Minh Square, the Municipal Theatre, the Central Post Office, and Notre Dame Cathedral. Stop for a refreshing drink at the popular rooftop bar at the Rex Hotel. Next, visit the moving War Remnants Museum followed by Ben Thanh Market. For lunch, we'll take part in a hands-on Vietnamese Cooking Class! The afternoon is at your leisure to explore this lively city. (B,L)

DAY 12 - HCMC. EXCURSION TO CU CHI TUNNELS
This morning, leave the city and drive through vast expanses of rice paddies to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, used by the Viet Cong as a hideout and secret village during the war. Return to Ho Chi Minh City and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. This evening, join your travelling companions for a special farewell dinner. (B,D)

DAY 13 - HO CHI MINH CITY
